Friends & Neighbors Activities
What are Friends & Neighbors Activities?
NABB's Friends and Neighbors (F&N), described as a "club of clubs", offer a wide variety of engaging programs for NABB members. Friends and Neighbors groups bring together neighbors throughout Back Bay and provide a means for friendships and bonds to develop through the sharing of common interests. Participating in F&N-sponsored groups is a great way to get involved in the community and meet stimulating people.
How Do F&N Groups Work?
The co-chairs of F&N are available to existing individual groups to help with any questions or issues that arise. However, the real backbone of F&N are the individuals who help lead each group and coordinate its activities--from contacting group members about upcoming activities, to providing information for the monthly NABB Bulletin, to coordinating actual events and activities. Some groups are run by one or two leaders, while some are run by a committee of leaders. Still others, like some book groups, rotate responsibility so the group's members take turns coordinating activities. Each group decides how it wants to operate. Regardless of how a group is run, it's the rallying enthusiasm of the individual group leaders who keep each F&N group going strong, year after year.
