AlleyThis Committee deals with the day-to-day, "quality of life" issues of urban living. These include cleanliness of our streets and alleys, enforcement of regulations on dumpsters and trash receptacles, graffiti removal, recycling, lighting and rodent control.

Trash and rodents are serious problems in Back Bay and are a major focus of the Committee. Members work closely with the city's Code Enforcement police and the Inspectional Services Department for better enforcement of trash regulations, and to organize rodent baiting programs during the appropriate seasons. The brown signs in our alleys informing residents of the days and times of trash collection are the result of this Committee's work.

Many NABB members serve as volunteer Block Captains. Block Captains work to educate and inform neighbors regarding sanitation and other important neighborhood issues by distributing pertinent information.
