On rare occasions, NABB's leadership will determine that litigation is the neighborhood's only protection against a particular licensing, zoning, architectural or development proposal that might cause irreparable harm to the Back Bay. This committee was formed in 1984 to raise and manage funds specifically earmarked to secure legal representation.

NABB's Legal Action Fund is a reserve account to finance such necessary legal expense. If the reserve account balance falls significantly, the committee conducts fundraising activities to replenish the Fund.
