Legislation to Protect Sunlight in Copley Square and Other Public Parks

State Representatives Martha M. ("Marty") Walz and Byron Rushing have filed legislation which, if enacted into law, would limit new shadows on certain parks, such as Copley Square and the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, to one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset at any time of year.  This legislation will protect important open spaces while still allowing for appropriate commercial growth.
