Special events speak for themselves -- they
are times to remember… places to go where you can meet new friends…
events that create a special feeling that adds to the unique quality of
life in the Back Bay.
In years past, successful events have included a Casino night, an auction, the spring ball, an end-of-summer block party, NABBILL, the Fall Street Sale, and an evening at The Lyric Stage. Since 1996, the committee has hosted "The Taste of the Back Bay," an increasingly sumptuous sampling of our most popular restaurants and vintners, as well as a major Fall event. These events rely heavily on member participation, as well as donations from corporations and local businesses. This committee's cast of hardworking and dedicated volunteers helps to ensure successful events, and provide an important source of ongoing financial support for NABB's work. Yet,
this committee also performs a critical function for NABB. Its creativity
and expertise is consistently called upon to raise nearly half of NABB's
yearly operating budget.
